 House of Prayer

How to get involved

If you have an interest in serving the house of prayer, here are some ways to get connected:

1.  For individuals:
     A. Visit our training day page at training day page link
     B. Complete at least two training days
     C. Meet with Andrew McDade, andrew.mcdade@lhop.us to get plugged into a Harp and
Bowl lab, where you will receive hands on training.
     D. Complete training series.
     E. Work with our scheduling department to become a regular part of an established prayer
         room set.
     F. Attend keepers’ meetings.  (Servants of altar ministry at LHOP are known as keepers.)

2. For groups (if your home church is interested in developing a Harp and Bowl team to serve at LHOP):
     A. Contact the Outreach Director Joshua.Tombley@Lhop.us to schedule an informational
        meeting with key LHOP staff
     B. Schedule an LHOP training conference to take place at your church.
     C. Invite all with an interest in LHOP or in night and day prayer to attend.  At the training
conference, those in attendance will be trained in the harp and bowl model and the ministry
        of LHOP.
     D. A lab will then be scheduled to further develop your church’s Harp and Bowl team.
Experienced instructors will be on hand.
     E. The next step will be to establish a regular set time for your fully equipped Harp and Bowl
         team.

3. For those interested in joining the LHOP staff:
There are three levels of staff involvement to choose from:
First order:  Reside at Living Stone Monastery and serve LHOP full time.
Second order:  Reside at Living Stone Monastery, serve LHOP part time and work outside the
                           community part time.
Third order:  Serve LHOP part time and reside off-campus.

After prayerfully considering and choosing your level of involvement, visit LHOP to pick up an application or download one from the Livingstone Monastery website. Here
You will be contacted once your application has been reviewed and a decision made.
